The Councilor for Citizen Participation, Maria Laviós, has presented the Participation Days for Foreign Residents. These days, subsidized by the Provincial Council of Alicante, will take place on the 24, 25, 26, 31 July and 1st August, at 11 am, at the Cultural Center of Altea la Vella. The objectives of these days are the integration of foreign citizens in the life of the municipality and the promotion of the relationship with the Local Administration and its residents.
As the Councilor explained, “the conference will consist of 5 activities, each lasting approximately two hours. In these activities, a specific objective will be developed, focused on the integration of foreign residents, an important part of the population in Altea and that helps us to grow and develop as a municipality.”
“For example, the Councilor pointed out, the functioning of the local administration will be addressed so that they know how it is organized and the possibilities it can offer them. There will also be exchanges of good practices existing in the municipalities of resident origin applicable to the municipality, as well as exchanges of social and cultural experiences between different nationalities and the local population, among others “.
“What Altea Town Council intends with these days, highlighted the Councilor, is that citizen participation is within the reach of foreign citizenship.”
Attendance to the day is free and all conclusions and proposals will be delivered to attendees as information support to their daily experience in the municipality.
