The 29th of November of 2019, the European Project Office from Altea, EuroAltea, organized the ‘’Structural Funds and European funding opportunities for the local level” workshop, through which it was intended the visualization of the opportunities that Europe has to offer in the governance of territories and funding that provides to a local level through different programs and projects.
The workshop took place at the Casa de Cultura of Altea and was inaugurated by Jaume Llinares, the mayor of Altea. At the workshop also participated representatives of the Generalitat Valenciana, like Andreu Iranzo, the General Director for European Funds; María Antonia Laviós, the Councilor of Citizen Participation and European Projects and Paloma Verdú, the technical of the European Projects Office. Alberto Lorente, the president of the College of Geographers of the Comunitat Valenciana and Manuel Amorós, the president of ADLYPSE also participated at the workshop.
The workshop also served to make known the possibilities that Europe has to offer, beyond the local level, in terms of funding companies and freelancers. Apart from representatives of other City Halls at the workshop also participated entrepreneurs and individuals that had the opportunity to obtain information on how to take advantage of the European funding to provide viability to business projects and how to participate in European mobility projects.
Thus the City Hall of Altea, through EuroAltea, continues with their engagement of participating in European projects and to bring Europe closer to the citizenship.
