• Network of Local Entities for the 2030 Agenda.

The Network of Local Entities for the 2030 Agenda is an initiative of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces that brings together local entities committed to the implementation of the sustainable development goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

Participation in this network implies for the towns and cities that are part of it the commitment to apply these goals in a cross-cutting manner and in all their public policies. One of the essential aims of the Network is to facilitate municipal coordination in order to improve the process of implementing the Agenda.

The specific objectives include the following:

    • Strengthening and legitimising the strategic role played by local authorities in the development of the 2030 Agenda in Spain in order to achieve the best political impact by promoting cohesion policies at local level.
    • To enable the exchange of actions and experiences between the local governments that make up the Network.
    • To offer advisory services and assistance for its members, training of technicians and mutual cooperation between the authorities of the Local Entities in the localisation of the objectives included in the 2030 Agenda.
    • To work together with local governments on specific lines of action following the crisis caused by COVID-19 in order to provide a response in the territory in line with the 2030 Agenda.
