Artisans do it better, where traditions meet with the demands of the present and the future

The 16th of July, six young artisans of Altea will fly to Italy for a European youth exchange project called “Artisans do it better”

Carla Mataix, Natalia Marcos, Carmen Sáez, Vera Mataix, Paula Marcos and Davinia Fernández are artisans from Altea. They all have a passion for handcraft, they are curious about historical and cultural traditions of European countries. And with the help of the European project office of Altea, they are going to participate in an Erasmus+ project for ten days in the Valle Camonica with 26 other young citizens from Hungary, Romania, Spain, Croatia and Italy.

The “Artisans do it better” project aims to improve their skills and enhance their entrepreneurial spirit in the “Valley of Landmarks” site, protected by the UNESCO. They will participate in different workshops in order to stimulate their creativity, learn about local techniques, and reinvent themselves while keeping in mind the possibilities for their future with a better sense of initiative and ideas for startups.

This Erasmus+ project has been possible thanks to the help of EuroAltea, the European project office of Altea. The office helps citizens to find projects, job and training opportunities for Alteàs y Alteanas abroad.
