Last week, the municipality of Altea held a first coordination meeting with all the technical team of the different departments for the proper development of the first Strategic Plan of the Altea 2030 Urban Agenda.
The 2030 Agenda is the roadmap set by the Member States in 2015 aimed at achieving global and human sustainable development as a common social objective. Structured in 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the agenda is the instrument devised to collectively address the necessary social, economic, environmental and democratic changes needed to face the challenges and major threats to our environment.
The development of the Altea Urban Agenda 2030 is essential for our development as a town in the medium and long term. It will be our roadmap towards sustainability and will contain the actions that we will carry out during this decade, duly planned and aligned with the sustainable development goals set by the United Nations. It is essential that towns and cities are configured as sustainable spaces with the necessary infrastructure to respond to these challenges and to the consequences of any type of crisis.
